Everyday Sweets Bakery

Everyday Sweets Bakery was started on a whim. I started this business because I saw an opportunity to allow those with food allergies and intolerances to indulge in their favorite baked goods. This business was also started with the encouragement of family and friends who love my baked goods. You will find cookies for everyone: regular, allergen-friendly, and vegan.

I have been baking since I was a child. I became allergic to eggs, so I learned that there were a lot of baked goods that I no longer could have, which drove me to learn about baking with different substitutes to eat baked goods again. Throughout high school and college, I learned to love baking as a hobby to get away from the intense math and science courses that would lead me to my full-time career as an electrical engineer. In college, I decided I wanted to have a bakery at some point in life. The original name of the bakery was E.E. Bakery because I wanted to incorporate my electrical engineering into my love of baking. That has changed over the years as I have met friends who are allergic to gluten and are vegan. It also changed because I have changed. 

In late 2022, I was diagnosed with diabetes, which I thought at the time meant I was not going to be able to continue eating my favorite desserts. As I learned more about diabetes, I learned that I could adjust my recipes to have the desserts again. I currently do not offer diabetic-friendly options on the site, as I am still working on refining and improving the recipes so that it is harder to tell if there is something different about them. In that same year, I also learned that my sister had become allergic to dairy, but lucky for her, I had already started working on vegan options that do not include dairy. These options will be being offered shortly as I work out pricing. 

As I mentioned before, I have a full-time career as an electrical engineer, so I cannot always make on-demand orders. I am currently fulfilling orders during the weekend. If you need them in the middle of the week or on a specific date, please reach out using the contact page. As soon as business picks up, I hope to start pulling back from my engineering career and fully commit to this business and my love for creating sweet treats for everyone.
